Academic Projects
Public Relations & Advertising at the University of Arkansas
As a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising, I’ve compiled this portfolio to highlight key academic projects that helped shape my skills and passion for strategic communication. These projects demonstrate my strengths in campaign development, client strategy, writing, and collaborative problem-solving—each serving as a building block toward my career in communications.

School of Rock Campaign
Course: Advertising Campaigns
Project Type: Client Campaign Competition
In this semester-long capstone project, our class created full advertising and public relations campaigns for School of Rock, a real-world client. I led a team of five students through strategy, research, and creative development. Our campaign tied for first place when presented to the client, based on creativity, alignment with brand identity, and feasibility.

Summer Moon Client Strategy Book
Course: Creative Strategy
Project Type: Strategic Plan & Brand Audit
For this individual project, I developed a detailed client strategy book for Summer Moon Coffee, a local favorite among students. I conducted brand research, evaluated their current advertising efforts, and proposed a refined messaging approach to meet a specific strategic objective—clearly outlined within the final book.
Public Relations Writing Portfolio
Course: Public Relations Writing
Project Type: Revised Writing Samples
This portfolio includes five revised writing assignments from my PR course, improved through instructor feedback and peer workshops. It reflects my growth as a communicator and my ability to apply professional writing standards across formats such as press releases, fact sheets, media alerts, and social media content.

PR Campaign: Journalism School
Course: Public Relations Writing (Final Group Project)
Project Type: Full PR Campaign
As part of a group capstone project, we developed a full public relations campaign for the University of Arkansas School of Journalism & Strategic Media. I contributed a five-story e-newsletter tailored to our campaign’s strategic goals, including two feature stories crafted to address key communication objectives.
