My Forever Bees

avagatewood139 • July 14, 2025

My heart and mind are of pollen

Thirsty bees swarm and confront

They know I have fallen

I surrender and leave them to hunt

They infiltrate and nest

I wish they weren’t so loud

They seem to hate me at my best

And despise when I’m proud

For every thought I have, they think deeper

They promise to help, giving critiques and cautions

They never sleep, so sometimes I don’t either

Even when I do, the buzzing hardly softens

I wake to bees, not to birds

Their buzzing is booming

Using the most harmful of words

All day long, world consuming

A book with a clover on the cover.
